“Your Local Chef’s Market” brings a unique foodservice shopping experience to the public
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Maines Food & Party Warehouse, a leading source of restaurant-quality food and supplies, celebrated its Greece store grand opening on May 1, creating more than 40 jobs.
The Greece store, located in the Lowe’s Plaza at 3160 West Ridge Road, is now open and positions Maines to better serve families, foodservice operators, and businesses in the area.
“Opening a Rochester location was a strategic move for Maines,” said Bradley Hurlburt, Store Manager, Greece, Maines Food & Party Warehouse. “We have served restaurants and foodservice operators in the Rochester region for more than 20 years. Maines Food & Party Warehouse is an extension of our broadline business that provides access to restaurant-quality food, smallwares, party supplies, and equipment to both our foodservice and retail customers.”
Maines provides the public with a unique shopping experience, combining the concepts of a supermarket, party store, and warehouse outlet. The store is an extended channel of Maines’ foodservice distribution operation, offering the same high-quality meats, seafood, and produce utilized by many of Rochester’s popular restaurants. In addition, Maines offers a custom cut meat market, a full line of party supplies, and numerous bulk buying options—all without costly membership fees. Through special relationships with suppliers and vendors, Maines Food & Party Warehouse is able to offer a wide range of professional and signature brands to customers at wholesale prices.
The Rochester store joins the chain’s four existing locations in New York and Pennsylvania. Maines has expanded its special in-store features at the Greece location to include a commercial test kitchen and chef demonstrations within its exclusive Culinary Center.
“Rochester has never had a foodservice option quite like Maines. We know that our store concept and selection attract business, but it’s the shopping experience combined with the exceptional customer service that we deliver, that brings our customers back again,” said Hurlburt.
As a part of its community initiatives, Maines offers its GiveBack Program as a way of supporting various non-profit organizations. The program provides more than 300 participating organizations with year-round fundraising opportunities by contributing five percent of every purchase made by its members. As part of the grand opening, the store is also holding a sweepstakes that will provide a $1,000 shopping spree to a local non-profit organization.
