Which city do you live in: Binghamton, NY

Your favorite food: There isn’t much food I don’t love, I enjoy trying different ethnic foods.

A hobby you enjoy outside of work: I love to read & travel

Anything else about yourself that you would like to share? When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have 2 adult children, my daughter a junior in college and my son 23 who is following in my footsteps in the restaurant business.

Maines Scout Elf, Chef RoseMerry

Learn a little bit about Chef RoseMerry:

Job Title: Scout Elf

How long have you been with Maines: I take a leave of absence each year on December 25th and return back to work after Thanksgiving.

Where do you live?: North Pole

Your favorite food: We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.

A hobby you enjoy outside of work: Baking, cooking, snowball fights, making gingerbread houses, adding to my tinsel collection.

Anything else about yourself that you would like to share? I just like to smile, smiling’s my favorite.

How long have you been with Maines: 2 years this January

Which city do you live in: Scranton, PA.

Your favorite food: Basic dishes with a new age spin.. aka Basics done Better.

A hobby you enjoy outside of work: Private Chef – also cooking for friends and family. I like to introduce people with basic, ordinary pallets to new creative flavors and concepts. It honestly changes a person’s life and eating habits as they are introduced to new concepts, fun and exciting dishes, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles.

Anything else about yourself that you would like to share? Chef for 12 years, 3 years of front of the house experience prior to that.

Your favorite food: Anything grilled and/or homemade pasta (No mayonnaise ever!)

A hobby you enjoy outside of work: Golfing with my wife and son. Grilling, making cider and Monday morning quarterbacking.

Anything else about yourself that you would like to share? Love my family, friends, all sports, and all food experiences…especially coffee.

Which city do you live in: Syracuse, NY for almost 6 years

Your favorite food: is anything treated with reverence, cultural, and from the heart

A hobby you enjoy outside of work: cooking, wildlife photography (birds), playing guitar and banjo, hockey

Anything else about yourself that you would like to share? I have 2 dogs- both rescues. I can appreciate a 2 dollar taco as much as a multicourse 300 dollar meal. I enjoy my garden where Ive grown organically 10 types of tomatoes, purple tomatillos, shisito peppers, swiss chard, purple bell peppers, chocolate bell peppers. I will be volunteering with a veterans culinary program to teach food cost, recipe cost, and how to properly cost batch recipes.
