For the Strawberry Ice Cream
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine vanilla bean, milk, sugar and salt; bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low.
  2. In medium bowl, lightly whisk egg yolks. Slowly pour 1 cup of hot milk mixture into yolks, whisking constantly. Return to saucepan; cook over medium-heat, whisking constantly until temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. Over a bowl, strain milk mixture through fine mesh strainer. Cover with a piece of plastic wrap pressed directly onto surface of custard. Refrigerate until cold.

For the Buttercream
  1. With mixer on medium speed, whip butter until light and fluffy. Turn mixer to low; in 3 batches, add powdered sugar and whip until combined. Add milk and vanilla extract; whip until combined. Turn mixer to high; whip 10 minutes or until light in color.
  2. Split buttercream between two medium bowls. Add blue coloring to one bowl and yellow coloring to the other; stir each until combined. Yield: 7½ cups.
To Serve
  1. In a blender, add ¾ cup milk and 1¼ cups ice cream; blend until smooth. Pour into buttercream-rimmed glass and garnish with blue rock candy, lollipop, jaw breakers, pink rock candy and sixlets.
